2011
Summer Championship
Provence, France

The Four Seasons Terre Blanche Resort Hotel and Golf Courses played host to two spectacular weeks of ISAGS competition and camaraderie in the south of France earlier this month. Fabulous weather with bright sunshine and daily temperatures in the mid-70's, outstanding golf courses, exceptional food, interesting non-golf tours and world-class Four Seasons service are just some of the highlights the 158 members and their spouses (over 300 total attendees in the two weeks!) will think back upon when remembering our time in Provence. Monte Carlo, Mougins, Cannes, Nice, Saint-Tropez, Saint Paul de Vence were all wonderful sightseeing opportunities that Members took advantage of during time off the course. A day at a cooking school as well as the opportunity to create custom perfumes in Grasse were both tours very well received by the non-golfing ladies.
Many thanks to the great group of ISAGS members who participated in this event and helped to make it so special. We are also pleased to announce that Jay Schlott from Paradise Valley, Arizona was unanimously elected ISAGS President for the next two years during our Annual Meeting in France. Jay will have a difficult task filling the shoes of now Past-President John Withers who worked tirelessly during his term to bring wonderful events such as France to our Membership. We would like to express sincere appreciation to John for all of his terrific effort and our congratulations to Jay who will undoubtedly carry us forward with great success.
Please find below the winners from each division, highlighted by the steady play of Jack Peat in Week 1 and Jerry Hutton in Week 2 in capturing the Championships. Also below are images showcasing some of the glorious sights enjoyed during the week; a very special thanks to GiGi Johnson for an outstanding job serving as our "official photographer" once again!!
