2009
Summer Championship
Bermuda

Rich Davis of Los Angeles, CA won the ISAGS 2009 Summer Championship in Bermuda, October 31-November 7, 2009 over four spectacular courses of the Island Nation. Davis opened with a tremendous round of 75 on the famous Mid Ocean Course and followed it with a 74 at Belmont Hills Country Club. Davis continued his steady play as the wind picked up Thursday and Friday and hung on to win by just two strokes over Bruce Cadwell of Boise, ID and by four over 2009 Mid-Winter Champion Ched Hikes of Scottsdale, AZ.
Jerry Missel of Woonsocket, RI finished at the top of the Age 65+ Championship Division on the strength of a final round 79 at Port Royal GC in winds that gusted up to 40 mph! After opening with a triple bogey followed by double bogey, Missel played outstanding golf over the closing 16 holes and was the only player in any division to break 80 at Port Royal Friday.
Arlene McKitrick of Longboat Key, FL played fantastic golf, leading the Ladies Championship Division with a final round comeback that edged out Lynne Jones. The Men’s Stableford Division was won by great play from Bermudian John Pereira, and it was Ichiro Mori of Hyogo-ken, Japan who took home the top prize among Super Seniors. Congratulations also to Mary Davie and Jennifer Tam who were tops in their respective Divisions.
Many thanks to all who participated in making Bermuda one of the truly great events put on by ISAGS. Beautiful weather, world-class golf, outstanding dining and a five-star hotel make Bermuda a place to which ISAGS will return in the future!
