The International Seniors Scratch Team, headed by Michael Mahoney (in photo on left), defeated the host country Mexico in a two day tournament at the Vista Vallarta World Cup Golf Course in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This was the third time these two teams have met in the last five years and it was the first victory for the International Seniors. Roberto Lebrija captained the Mexican team.

The next eight man team scratch event will be against an Irish senior team at Doonbeg, Ireland on July 22/23, 2004 prior to the International Seniors Championship to be held at St. Andrews Bay and Kingsbarns, Scotland July 24-30, 2004.
